We design all our furniture ourselves and work primarily in rustic oak, wild oak and metal, giving each piece its own distinctive look.
2. What is the difference between Rustic Oak and Wild Oak?
Rustic Oak has more visible knots, color play and structure - it gives a raw and vibrant look.
Wild Oak is more uniform and calm in texture and is perfect for modern, Nordic interiors.
All Rustic Oak veneers are lacquered, while Wild Oak is available in both lacquered and oiled variants (depending on color choice).
3. How do I maintain my wooden furniture?
Wood is a natural material and proper maintenance will significantly extend its lifespan.
General guidelines include:
- Wipe regularly with a clean, soft cloth
- Avoid harsh cleaning agents
- Always use coasters under hot items
- Wipe up spills immediately
- Keep the furniture away from strong heat sources and direct sunlight
Lacquered surfaces require minimal maintenance, while oiled products may occasionally require refinishing.
4. Can I get extension leaves for my dining tables?
Yes, most of our round and rectangular dining tables can be extended with one or two extension leaves - depending on the model.
The extension leaves are 50 cm wide and match the design and color of the chosen table.
5. How do I clean my oak dining tables and furniture?
- Use a slightly damp cloth and mild soapy water
- Avoid microfiber cloths, abrasive sponges and chemicals
- Never use oil on lacquered surfaces
- Always follow our care instructions, which can be downloaded from our website

Bodahl Furniture is a Danish company with headquarters in Holstebro.

Our swivel chairs have either 180° swivel with automatic return or 360° free swivel - depending on the model.
